McCollum's Playoff Record 37 points leads to victory

In a thrilling Game 7 of the NBA Western Conference Semifinals, the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Denver Nuggets 100-96 to advance to the Western Conference Finals. CJ McCollum led the way for the Trail Blazers with a playoff career-high 37 points, including a franchise record for points in a Game 7. Damian Lillard added 13 points and 10 assists for the Trail Blazers.

The Nuggets were led by Nikola Jokic, who had 29 points, 13 rebounds, and 8 assists. Jamal Murray added 14 points for the Nuggets.

The Trail Blazers took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Nuggets 31-16. McCollum was unstoppable in the quarter, scoring 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting. The Nuggets fought back in the fourth quarter, but they were unable to overcome the Trail Blazers' lead.

The Trail Blazers will now face the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. The Warriors are the defending NBA champions and have won the Western Conference the last four seasons.

McCollum's performance in Game 7 was a breakout moment for the Trail Blazers' star. He has been a consistent performer throughout the playoffs, but he took his game to another level in Game 7. If he can continue to play at this level, the Trail Blazers will be a tough matchup for the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals.
